Over 100 years ago the biggest, most extravagant ship to ever set sail was lost to the Atlantic Ocean. It was a tragedy that shook the world in more ways than one. The sinking of the Titanic inspired radical change in maritime operations and class systems, movies and documentaries, and has captivated curious historians for over a century. Now, thanks to the Fernán Gómez. Centro Cultural de la Villa in Madrid you will have a chance to travel back in time and experience life on the most famous ship in the world!
The Exhibition features over 200 original objects recovered from the ship’s wreckage as well as several life sized reproductions of rooms that the passengers and staff of the Titanic once walked through. As well as walking through the stages of the Titanic’s inception, creation and the day it set off on it’s maiden voyage, you will experience a day in the life of the many different classes of people on board the ship. The expo will be running from now until March 6th, every day of the week from 10:00-20:00. Prices vary depending on the type of tour and group size, so check out the official website for more details!
