Hi everyone!

I’m Alvaro and I am the one coordinating the housing with our partners helpMadrid! Cáceres is my hometown which is a beautiful little city with so much Spanish pride that UNESCO named it a World Heritage Site. I also have the great honor of being the first Spaniard to join the Citylife team! Before all of that, I studied Business, Economics and an MBA. I have lived in many places over the years, but my favourite has been Madrid. I was also an Erasmus in Stavanger, Norway where I studied for one year.

20121221_213007-2I started working at Citylife when Joa (one of the founding partners at Citylife) approached me about this amazing project. In the past Joa and I lived together when he was an expat. As an International Student myself, I knew about the needs of students in Madrid. Without any doubt I moved from Barcelona to Madrid, leaving my previous job to join Nico, Joa and the rest of the team.

I am a bit shy when I first meet people, but once you get to know me I love to have fun and joke around with all of my friends. I love to meet new people and I am always available to help you with anything in regards to your stay in Madrid, so don’t be shy! Send me an email or Facebook private message with any questions at! My role in Citylife is related to launching our own Housing department, and to offer our community a wide range of tapas in our Meet & Taste event.

In my free time I like to play basketball and get lost in the mountains with my bike. Nowadays I go to Vicente Calderón Stadium to watch each Atlético de Madrid matches! I Hope to see you soon in our office or at any of our events!

As a part of the Citylife community we want to get to know all of our staff so you can feel as comfortable as possible during your stay in Madrid! Check out the About Citylife Madrid page to meet all of the crew and learn a little more about what Citylife is all about!
