This trip makes the most out of the weekend by departing from Madrid on Thursday evening and travelling overnight! We are bringing you the best of both, Barcelona and the Fiestas del Pilar in one single trip!
Barcelona, a Mediterranean seaside city with boundless culture, fabled architecture, and a world-class drinking and dining scene, was home to the 1992 Olympics and is the capital of the region of Cataluña. A modern city and an international hub for the newest trends, it’s also an important epicenter of modernism, specifically known for the work of Antoni Gaudí, who, alongside great contemporary artists, gave the city a new and exciting look. During our local tour, we will explore the artistic and eclectic architecture that is found all over the city.
Our description of Barcelona wouldn’t be complete without the nightlife. With some of the most emblematic clubs in Spain, Barcelona is said to be the city that never sleeps and on this trip you’ll find out why. Come with us and discover it yourself. Check out our Barcelona video to get an idea of what this beautiful city has to offer!
The journey will not end in Barcelona. On Sunday on the way back to Madrid, we will stop in Zaragoza, the capital of Aragón, to experience the lively Pilar Festival. The festival attracts young people from all over Spain, transforming the city into a large party during these days. Though the festivities certainly include religious aspects like the offering of flowers, people flock to the streets to see the parade featuring giants with even bigger heads, concerts, dancing, and endless activities that keep revelers awake all hours of the night. Join us on this trip to one of the best festivals of the year!
