We’ll soak up the exciting sights in the city’s medina\, experience the lively happenings in the Jemma el-Fnaa Square\, tour some incredible local shops and so much more! \n\n\n\nApart from Marrakesh we will be discovering some impressive sites like the Atlas Mountains\, the ancient mud city of Aït Ben Haddou and the Todra Canyon! But the main event of this entire road trip is our once in a lifetime visit to the Sahara Desert\, where we will ride camels through the dunes and stay at a Berber style luxury campsite to soak in the beautiful desert culture. If you have any questions please get in touch with us by WhatsApp +34 641 71 38 34. \n\n\n\n\nItinerary\n\n\n\n\n \n Day 1\n \n Marrakesh (Thursday)\n Airport pick-up · guided walking tour · traditional welcome dinner (optional)\n \n Read more\n This day is all about arriving and getting your first taste of Marrakesh. We recommend aiming for a flight that lands around noon. After we pick you up at the airport\, we’ll head to the hotel to drop off your luggage and grab lunch by the main square. We’ll then start our 2.5-3 hour guided walking tour through the Medina\, including a stop at a traditional Moroccan pharmacy. That evening we’ll organize an optional traditional welcome dinner to set the tone for the days ahead. Want to study up on what you’ll be eating? Check out our Moroccan food guide. \n \n \n \n \n Day 2\n \n Marrakesh · Atlas Mountains · Aït Ben Haddou · Rose Valley (Friday)\n Mountain pass panoramas · UNESCO fortress · hotel dinner included\n \n Read more\n Our day begins with a hotel breakfast (included) so we can fill up before heading out! This day we will be passing through Ouarzazate\, also known as the “Door of the Desert” and the Atlas Mountains. We will stop in Tizi n’Tichka for some amazing panoramic picture opportunities and continue South following the 6km track that leads to the village of Aït Ben Haddou\, famous for its Kasbah (which was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site) and where several famous movies and series\, such as Gladiator I and II\, Game of Thrones and more recently The Odyssey were filmed. Then we will continue to the Rose Valley were our accommodation will be waiting for us. Dinner for this evening will be included at our hotel. \n \n \n \n \n Day 3\n \n Rose Valley · Todra Canyon · Sahara Desert (Saturday)\n Canyon exploration · camel riding · ATV ride (optional) · dinner & white party under the stars with live DJs\n \n Read more\n After a complimentary breakfast\, we’ll continue on a route filled with beautiful scenery and unforgettable Kasbahs (Islamic Fortresses)\, each one unique from the next. We will then arrive at one of the most iconic places in the South of Morocco: the Todra Canyon. Cliff walls of epic proportions and immense beauty surround the channel of the River Todra; it’s a climber’s paradise!\nTime to head to the Sahara Desert. After selecting some traditional Berber gear from our favourite local shop\, we will take our essentials and head to our Berber camp just at the entrance of the desert. We will take our camels out to the dunes where we will have the chance to sandboard and catch the sunset over the Sahara before heading to dinner at the camp. You can climb the dunes near the camp with a warm cup of tea and enjoy the peace and quiet of the desert and relax after the adventure-filled day. Finally\, we’ll be spending the night in luxury Berber tents\, under a spectacular canopy of stars.\nOn this day\, you’ll have the chance to hop on a quad (ATV) and take the dunes for a spin. It’s an optional add-on (to be paid in cash during the trip)\, but if you’re up for a little adventure\, it’s a perfect way to feel the desert air on your skin. Imagine cruising over the sands with your friends\, the sun setting behind you.\nAnd here’s the real magic of this trip: tonight we’ll be hosting an exclusive White Party right in the middle of the Sahara! Picture it: live DJs echoing across the dunes\, everyone dressed in white under a full canopy of stars\, and an electric atmosphere you simply can’t recreate anywhere else. We’ll have a great setup to keep the night going\, surrounded by new friends and Berber hospitality. Dancing to live sets in one of the most remote and beautiful places on earth is hands down one of the biggest highlights of the entire trip. \n \n \n \n \n Day 4\n \n Sahara Desert · drive back to Marrakesh (Sunday)\n Sunrise dune climb · journey back · free evening in the medina\n \n Read more\n After an unforgettable night in the desert we start with an early climb to the closest dune\, to catch a glimpse of the sun rising over the dunes. Then a filling breakfast before we kick off a full day on the road as we head back to Marrakesh.\nImportant: Our drive back to Marrakesh will take the entire day. This means we won’t get back to Marrakesh before 20:00/21:00. Please keep this in mind before making any plans for this evening.\nIn the evening you will be free to wander the plaza and enjoy the many available options! \n \n \n \n \n Day 5\n \n Farewell & departure (Monday)\n Souk shopping · optional activities · airport transfers\n \n Read more\n Our final day begins with a relaxed breakfast at the hotel to fuel up for our last few hours in Morocco.\nThis morning is all about enjoying the city at your own pace. Whether you want to visit a monument you missed\, treat yourself to a traditional hammam\, or hit the souks for some last-minute gifts (be sure to check out our guide on the best souvenirs to bring home!)\, the time is yours.\nWe will have free time until our shuttles take us to the airport for our different departure flights. For those who have booked an optional extra night in Marrakesh\, don’t worry\, an airport transfer will be organized for you the following day. \n \n \n \n\n\n\n\n🗺️ View route map×\n\n\n\nWhat’s Included\n\n\n\n\n Included\n \n ✓ Airport transfers in Morocco\n ✓ All in-country transport\n ✓ 3★ hotel in Marrakesh (2 nights / breakfast incl.)\n ✓ Rose Valley hotel with dinner & breakfast\n ✓ Luxury Berber tent with dinner & breakfast\n ✓ Guided walking tour of Marrakesh medina\n ✓ Guided visit of Aït Ben Haddou\n ✓ Todra Canyon exploration\n ✓ Camel ride in the Sahara (1 per person)\n ✓ Sandboarding in the Sahara\n ✓Bonfire\, berber live entertainment & desert party\n ✓ Local Moroccan guide throughout\n ✓ All taxes included\n \n Not included\n \n ✗ Flights to and from Morocco\n ✗ All lunches & dinners not mentioned in “Included”\n ✗ Optional ATV ride in the Sahara\n ✗ Optional welcome dinner (Day 1)\n✗ Any monument entrance tickets\n ✗ Tips for bathroom\, restaurant waiters and drivers\n \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nFlights & Logistics\n\n\n\nIMPORTANT: You do not need to live in Madrid to join this trip. We’re happy to help with your visa application. Contact us at trips@citylifemadrid.com for assistance.\n \n\n\n\n\nSIM / e-SIM\n\n\n\nLanding in a new country is easier when you’re already online. Here are your options for getting mobile data as soon as you touch down in Morocco. \n\n\n\n\n \n Physical SIM at the airport\n Once you clear customs you’ll find kiosks for Maroc Telecom\, Orange and Inwi. A standard tourist data package costs around 30€ (300 MAD). You’ll need your passport to register the SIM.\n \n \n eSIM: Be connected before you land\n Prefer to have data ready the moment the plane lands? An eSIM is the way to go. No kiosks\, no queues\, no plastic. Set it up before you travel and activate it on arrival.\n \n\n\n\n\n\n 💡 We recommend getting an eSIM before you travel. It’s cheaper\, faster and you’ll have data from the moment you land. Contact us at trips@citylifemadrid.com for assistance.\n \n\n\n\n\nTravel Insurance\n\n\n\n\n \n Our insurance option\n Citylife offers a basic travel insurance package provided by Innovac in partnership with Europassistance. It covers basic medical emergencies for the duration of the trip and can be added on when booking.\n \n \n Do I need to take it?\n It is not mandatory to take our insurance. However it is your responsibility to ensure you are travelling with proper coverage. If you do not take it we will assume you are covered by another policy.\n \n\n\n Coverage breakdown\n For a full breakdown of what is covered\, download the insurance documents below.\n \n 📄 Download in English\n 📄 Descargar en Español\n \n\n\n\n\nFAQs\n\n\n\n\n \n \n Where is the meeting point? +\n We will pick you up directly at Marrakesh airport. Once you clear customs and exit the arrivals hall\, you will find a taxi office on the right side. Our drivers are usually waiting there. Once you have booked\, send your flight details to trips@citylifemadrid.com and we will organize your transfer. \n \n \n \n \n Do I need to live in Madrid to join? +\n Not at all! Participants are welcome to join from anywhere as long as they arrive and depart on the recommended dates. Airport transfers are organized based on those dates. \n \n \n \n \n Are flights included? +\n No\, flights are not included. You book your own flight to Marrakesh and we organize your airport transfer at no extra cost as long as you arrive and depart on our recommended dates. \n \n \n \n \n How long is the camel ride? +\n The camel ride lasts approximately 45 minutes through the Sahara dunes before sunset. \n \n \n \n \n Is the desert camp comfortable? +\n Yes! You will stay in a luxury Berber-style camp with comfortable bedding\, blankets and a complete bathroom (toilet & shower). Each tent also has electrical outlets so you can charge your devices as well as AC. It’s cosy\, authentic and unforgettable. \n \n \n \n \n Is there WiFi in the Sahara Desert? +\n No\, and that’s part of the magic. The night in the desert is your chance to truly disconnect\, look up at one of the most spectacular starry skies you’ll ever see\, enjoy the music around the camp and be fully present. Embrace it! \n \n \n \n \n Are meals included? +\n 4 breakfasts and 2 dinners are included. Lunches are not included. We will collect 40€ in cash on Day 1 to cover lunches during the desert route as we stop at pre-defined places. \n \n \n \n \n How much does the ATV activity cost and how do I pay? +\n The ATV quad activity is optional and costs 40€ for a single ATV or 50€ for two people sharing (25€ each). Payment is in cash only\, and will be collected the day before arriving to the desert. \n \n \n\n \n Can I do both the ATV activity and the camel ride? +\n Yes! We have prepared the itinerary accordingly so you can enjoy both. We usually do the ATV activity first upon arrival at the desert\, and right after you will jump on the camels for the ride. The perfect desert combo! \n \n \n \n \n How long is the ATV activity? +\n The ATV activity lasts 1 hour. There are two stops: one in the middle of the dunes for photos\, and a second stop for those who opted for a double ATV to switch drivers. \n \n \n \n \n Where should I exchange money? +\n We strongly recommend not exchanging money at the airport as the rates there are the worst you’ll find. We will help you exchange in the city centre instead. The only exception is if you arrive on a very late flight and have no other option. \n \n \n \n \n Can I use euros or dollars during the trip? +\n Yes\, both euros and dollars are widely accepted. To keep things simple\, during the trip we use the conversion 1€ = 1$ = 10 MAD. \n \n \n \n \n Can I fly out on Sunday night? +\n No\, we will not be back in Marrakesh before 20:00–21:00 on Sunday. Please make sure to book a flight departing on Monday. \n \n \n\n \n What is the age range on our trips? +\n Our trips are designed for young internationals between 18 and 30 years old. This age range helps create the right social atmosphere: a fun\, energetic group of like-minded travelers from all over the world. \n \n \n \n \n What language is spoken on the trip? +\n Our trips are principally run in English. However we always adapt. If the group has Spanish speakers\, our drivers are fully comfortable switching between English and Spanish to make sure everyone feels included. \n \n \n\n \n ¿Qué pasa si soy hispanohablante? +\n ¡No hay problema! Aunque el viaje se lleva a cabo en inglés\, nuestros coordinadores de viaje y conductores hablan tanto inglés como español. Todo el mundo es bienvenido\, independientemente de su idioma. 🇪🇸 \n \n \n \n \n What happens if I have more questions? +\n Just shoot us an email at trips@citylifemadrid.com and we’ll be happy to help! \n \n \n\n\n\n\nReserve your Tickets\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTerms & Conditions\n\n\n\nWe encourage all travelers to read our Terms & Conditions carefully before booking any event with us. Here are your options for getting mobile data as soon as you touch down in Morocco. \n\n\n\n\n\n \n Physical SIM at the airport\n Once you clear customs you’ll find kiosks for Maroc Telecom\, Orange and Inwi. A standard tourist data package costs around 30€ (300 MAD). You’ll need your passport to register the SIM.\n \n\n \n eSIM: Be connected before you land\n Prefer to have data ready the moment the plane lands? An eSIM is the way to go. No kiosks\, no queues\, no plastic. Set it up before you travel and activate it on arrival.\n \n\n\n\n\n\n\n 💡 We recommend getting an eSIM before you travel. It’s cheaper\, faster and you’ll have data from the moment you land. Check Airalo for good Morocco eSIM options.\n \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTravel Insurance\n\n\n\n\n\n \n Our insurance option\n Citylife offers a basic travel insurance package provided by Innovac in partnership with Europassistance. Once you clear customs and exit the arrivals hall\, you will find a taxi office on the right side. Our drivers and/or trip coordinator are usually waiting there. Once you have booked\, send your flight details to trips@citylifemadrid.com and we will organize your transfer. \n \n \n\n \n \n Do I need to live in Madrid to join? +\n Not at all! Participants are welcome to join from anywhere as long as they arrive and depart on the recommended dates. Airport transfers are organized based on those dates. \n \n \n\n \n \n Are flights included? +\n No\, flights are not included. You book your own flight to Marrakesh and we organize your airport transfer at no extra cost as long as you arrive and depart on our recommended dates. \n \n \n\n \n \n What is the City Card discount? +\n City Card holders get a discounted price of 299\,99 € instead of 319\,99 €. Get your City Card at citylifemadrid.com/city-card. \n \n \n\n \n \n How long is the camel ride? +\n The camel ride lasts approximately 45 minutes through the Sahara dunes before sunset. \n \n \n\n \n \n Is the desert camp comfortable? +\n Yes! You will stay in a luxury Berber-style camp with comfortable bedding\, blankets and a complete bathroom (toilet & shower). Each tent also has electrical outlets so you can charge your devices as well as AC. It’s cosy\, authentic and unforgettable. \n \n \n\n \n \n Is there WiFi in the Sahara Desert? +\n No\, and that’s part of the magic. The night in the desert is your chance to truly disconnect\, look up at one of the most spectacular starry skies you’ll ever see\, enjoy the music around the camp and be fully present. Embrace it! \n \n \n\n \n \n Are meals included? +\n 4 breakfasts and 2 dinners are included. Lunches are not included. The perfect desert combo! \n \n \n\n \n \n How long is the ATV activity? +\n The ATV activity lasts 1 hour. There are two stops: one in the middle of the dunes for photos\, and a second stop for those who opted for a double ATV to switch drivers. \n \n \n\n \n \n Where should I exchange money? +\n We strongly recommend not exchanging money at the airport as the rates there are the worst you’ll find. We will help you exchange in the city centre instead. The only exception is if you arrive on a very late flight and have no other option. \n \n \n\n \n \n Can I use euros or dollars during the trip? +\n Yes\, both euros and dollars are widely accepted. To keep things simple\, during the trip we use the conversion 1€ = 1$ = 10 MAD. \n \n \n\n \n \n Can I fly out on Saturday night? +\n No\, we will not be back in Marrakesh before 20:00–21:00 on Saturday.
