North Morocco #7 – Tangier & The Blue City

Transportation from Spain to Morocco is not included in this package. You will need to book your own flight to Morocco and send us the flight details. With these details, we will happily arrange your airport pick-up and drop off at no extra charge*.

Ryanair has the best prices and ideal flight times for this Morocco trip! We recommend looking at their website for your flights. Please send all your flight information and questions to [email protected].

Important Things to Keep in Mind:

• You will need to fly in to Tangier on Saturday, April 20th before 21:30 (We recommend Flight FR7754 – click here – landing at 20:55 in Tangier).
• You will need to fly out of Tangier on Monday, April 22nd AFTER 20:00 (We recommend Flight FR3877* – click here – leaving at 21:25 from Tangier).

*Your airport drop-off on Monday is included in the package price but can only be arranged if you book the recommended flight back to Madrid because our private bus won’t be available to bring you to the airport before 20:00. If you wish to arrive one day before or stay one more night you can book the “Extra Night” add-on in addition to the basic package. We will still include an airport shuttle for you.

Day 1: Tangier (Arrival Day)

Our incredible Moroccan experience will start on Saturday, once you’ve landed in Tangier (please make sure to arrive no later than 21:30). The group will gather at the airport. After changing money we’ll go for a quick dinner before heading to our hotel for check-in.

We will be staying at a historic oceanfront hotel that looks over the vast Tangier port for the next 2 nights.

Day 2: Tangier & Chefchaouen

On Sunday morning we will start our action packed day by heading to one of the prettiest towns in the country, Chefchaouen, also known as The Blue City or The Blue Pearl! The city is beautifully perched beneath the raw peaks of the Rif mountains. It’s known for its artsy vibe as well as its blue-washed streets. Upon arrival we will explore the town with a local guide and continue with a panoramic hike. After which the afternoon is yours!

After a full day exploring the Blue City, we will drive back to Tangier. Those interested can join for a traditional Moroccan dinner which offers live music, delicious typical food and great vibes!

Day 3: Tangier (Departure Day)

On Monday morning, after a last complimentary breakfast, we will explore the city center! Our walking tour of Tangier’s medina (old town) includes a walk through its winding streets, a stop at a typical Moroccan pharmacy where they sell all kinds of spices, creams, argan oil and natural perfumes and a stop at a family owned craft shop where they make and sell gorgeous, vibrant Moroccan items. At the end of the tour we will get back to the hotel for check-in.

After a stop for lunch, we will be heading to the coast, to Cape Spartel, where the Atlantic Ocean meets the Mediterranean Sea. Then, we will enjoy a short camel ride along the beach, which will surely be one of the trip’s highlights! We will continue our adventure with a stop at the legendary Hercules Caves! Entering the caves is an optional part of the tour and there will be a small fee to enter.

We will then head to the airport approximately 2h before our flight back to Madrid*.

Important: Please remember that our shuttle to the Tangier airport will not be available for flights before 20:00.

In Tangier we will be staying in a 3-star hotel. Room assignments will be determined based on the information that you provide us when signing up.

Group Name

When signing up for this trip you will see the option to indicate a “group name”. This is where you can inform of about who you would like to share a room with. We will always do our best to keep your group together.

If you have purchased a ticket without indicating a group name, we will assume that you are ok with being placed in a room with someone you may not know. If this is not the case, please reach out to us at [email protected] to inform us about your roommate request.

We have planned this trip’s itinerary around the most affordable flight options that are available.

Those who wish to arrive one day earlier or stay in Tangier for one more night are welcome to book our Extra Night add-on in addition to their Basic Package ticket. We will arrange an additional night for you at our group’s hotels for the price of 50€. This price includes:

• 1 night at our group hotel
• Breakfast at the hotel (depending on when your flight leaves)
• Transfer to or from the airport
