Overview

Two UNESCO World Heritage cities, one incredible day. We start the morning in Salamanca, the famous “golden city” built in warm honey-coloured sandstone, home to one of the oldest universities in Europe and one of the most stunning Plaza Mayors in all of Spain. After lunch we head to Ávila, a perfectly preserved medieval walled city whose ancient orange granite walls still circle the entire old town exactly as they have since the 11th century.

Both cities are the kind that genuinely surprise people. Salamanca for the scale and beauty of it: the architecture, the student energy, the cathedral. Ávila for how intact it all is. We handle the bus and the logistics, you handle the exploring.

You can either book now at the bottom of this page or in our office on Calle Gran Vía 33, 8D. If you have any questions please get in touch with us at [email protected].

Please be advised that in accordance with our terms and conditions the City Card membership cannot be used to obtain discounts for anyone but the card holder.

The trip was incredibly well organized and I had fun all along. Not only did I meet great people but I could also step out of my comfort zone without regretting it. Adam was an incredible tour guide and made it one of the best organized trips I had so far :) (Dragonstone was incredible)

The University of Salamanca (founded 1218) is one of the oldest in Europe and absolutely worth a look. Hunt for the famous hidden frog carved into the university facade (local legend says finding it brings good luck). The cathedral complex (old and new side by side) is stunning and worth a visit if you have time. We recommend booking tickets in advance as they can sell out: book here.
