South Morocco #4 – Halloween in The Sahara Desert
October 29 @ 18:00 - November 2 @ 18:00

Two UNESCO World Heritage cities, one incredible day. We start the morning in Salamanca, the famous “golden city” built in warm honey-coloured sandstone, home to one of the oldest universities in Europe and one of the most stunning Plaza Mayors in all of Spain. After lunch we head to Ávila, a perfectly preserved medieval walled city whose ancient orange granite walls still circle the entire old town exactly as they have since the 11th century.
Both cities are the kind that genuinely surprise people. Salamanca for the scale and beauty of it: the architecture, the student energy, the cathedral. Ávila for how intact it all is. We handle the bus and the logistics, you handle the exploring.
You can either book now at the bottom of this page or in our office on Calle Gran Vía 33, 8D. If you have any questions please get in touch with us at [email protected].

We meet at Paseo de Moret 2 (Metro: Moncloa) at 07:45. We meet on the street outside, not inside the bus station. The exact spot will be confirmed by your trip coordinator before the event. The bus departs at 08:00 sharp so please don’t be late!
You will have approximately 6 hours in Salamanca to explore at your own pace. That’s plenty of time to see all the main sights, enjoy a proper sit-down lunch and still find hidden corners of the old town.
You will have around 2 hours in Ávila. Enough time to walk the walls, explore the Jewish quarter and grab a drink before we head back to Madrid.
No, lunch is not included. You will have plenty of free time in Salamanca to eat at any of the many restaurants and tapas bars around Plaza Mayor and the university area.
There is a tiny frog carved into the stone facade of the University of Salamanca. Local legend says that students who find it before their exams will pass. It’s harder to spot than you’d think. See if you can find it without looking it up!
Send us an email at [email protected] and we’ll be happy to help!
